What is more important in our lives than learning how to have mutual, caring romantic relationships? Certainly gratifying, mature relationships also rank high. We at Yeshivas Doresh Learning Center in Florida think that we have the responsibility to prepare our students to face their life where two people of opposite gender meet, talk, and decide to settle for life respectfully.
We want our students to also learn how dating is never embarrassing. It is an intentional pursuit of marriage, not the casual preparation for it. They need to understand if they are ever ready for marriage, they must begin to have a healthy and meaningful relationship.
In order to do that we at Yeshivas Doresh Learning Center in Florida prepare our students how to go through dating well and decide for marriage.
Dating with purpose
‘Dating well’ is not mainly about looking for how to be romantic on a date. It is about looking for who to marry. Instructors let them understand that successful dating is about dating with the purpose of marriage in mind and clarity about how to effectively accomplish the objective.
At Yeshivas Doresh Learning Center in Florida, we teach them to study how to be a better person and learn how to be an effective communicator, how to respect others, and how to be flexible. Those are the most integral ingredients in a successful relationship.
Defined values
Our instructors discuss life values together with the students and explore the direction that each individual bochor wants to take in his life. We try to know if it is more of a focus on Chessed, community, Torah education, Torah study, Tzedakah, activism, etc. Whatever he feels is the objective that his heart leads him to.
Guidance and support
Our instructors evaluate how each bochor matures, personality and the traits. If he lacks anywhere, they try to fill the gap of his strengths and chart out where he needs to improve.
